Microsoft gave a preview of the next version of its Windows operating system during a press briefing held in Taipei. You could see an entirely new interface that it hopes will better adapt to the world of tablets that are invading the market.

In this event, Microsoft showed multiple prototypes of the system to work with this software, from tablets to laptops, to PC all-in-one. The new interface is a very important starting point from which comes the new Windows desktop and left behind that has traditionally used the Microsoft and which has been based for decades.
The home screen now has different sizes with color icons of applications that look similar to the Windows operating system Phone 7. Tapping an icon with a finger can launch the application and use full screen without the usual Windows menu, system tray, and scroll bars at the ends of the screen.
It also displays new information from the web automatically, like Twitter or e-mail messages, for example. Thus, these Web-friendly applications, which Microsoft calls 'custom applications' were built on a new development platform Windows 8 and are based largely on Internet Explorer 10, which will launch with the new operating system and also in HTML 5, Javascript and CSS.

Windows interface 8 may be controlled using gestures on touch screen devices. From within an application, passing a finger through it from the right, there is a Windows control panel, which includes a Home button to return to the Welcome screen. From there, it will open new applications.
If you slide your finger from the left, users can switch between applications that are already open. And if you drag a finger from bottom to top of the screen, open the control menu for each application.
In the demo, the interfaces listed in multiple prototype devices Angiulo seemed to work smoothly and quickly moved between applications and menus.
Windows 8 also introduces a new level of multitasking. When playing a video, the user opens another application, the video continues to play audio in the background. A feature called Snap creates a new screen with an application running on each side.
Windows Explorer and the Windows desktop will still be available from Microsoft explained that the operating system will be compatible with existing applications and peripherals for Windows 7.
Even so, developers will have to learn many more things and Microsoft has announced the launch of a new conference, Build, to be held in Anaheim, California, September. In it, developers will learn how to program for the new operating system. 'Space is limited and registration is now open from now on.'
Microsoft also said that Windows 8 - which apparently is still his code name, work on ARM-based processors such as Qualcomm and Texas Instruments, as well as the x86 Intel and AMD, as at present. ARM processors are used in most smartphones and tablets on the market.
