For the project that I'm currently working on I've needed to set up an automated build process, no surprises there. Having worked in environments previously where the development and maintenance of the build occupied a large amount of effort, and required a reasonable amount of specialised knowledge I was keen to ensure that this would not be the case (it wouldn't be sustainable here).
